Over the past ten
years, Dr. Craner has evaluated and/or
treated over 1000 patients with
building-related symptoms involving
water-damaged/mold-contaminated buildings,
and has investigated numerous “sick”
buildings and other indoor exposures.
In many cases
in which Dr. Craner clinically evaluates
individuals, families, and/or workplace
building occupants, he also conducts
visual inspections, interprets
environmental sampling data, and/or
performs occupant exposure (“re-entry”)
challenge studies to the diagnosis and offer
specific recommendations for building
remediation and re-occupancy.

In addition to clinical evaluations
of occupants, Dr. Craner has conducted
numerous public health and
epidemiological studies in workplace and
residential buildings with multiple
occupant health complaints and/or known
indoor environmental problems (including
mold), utilizing sophisticated
epidemiological methods and software.
See
Epidemiological investigation,
software development and research.

Dr. Craner has lectured extensively and
published original research on indoor
air quality, mold health effects, and
investigation of sick building syndrome,
and is the co-author of the Health
Effects chapter of the IICRC S520
Reference Guide for Professional Mold
Remediation.
